Vuno is a small, historic village located in the Albanian Riviera, with roots that date back to ancient times. It was once a thriving settlement during the Byzantine period, and its strategic position on a hill above the Ionian Sea made it an important site for defence and trade. Its traditional stone houses, narrow cobbled streets, and preserved cultural heritage reflect the resilience and deep-rooted history of the people who have lived there for centuries.

You will stay with us in our traditional village home that we have lovingly renovated, with a gorgeous view of the olive groves leading down into the Ionian Sea and Greek Islands in the distance. Vuno is a village paused in time. You will encounter donkeys in the streets and shepherds walking with their livestock in the mountain and through the olive groves. There are still only a few cafes in the village, and there you can meet the local community and share a coffee or homemade raki with them. Our accommodation is a 3 minute walk up from the center of town.Vuno sits directly in the middle of Albania’s riviera, so you are spoiled for choice when visiting the surrounding beaches and mountains.

When you book a trip with us, we will plan a specific itinerary for you based on your dates. While your trip will be organized, you will still have plenty of time to self explore. You will not feel like part of a big tour, but rather like friends visiting. We will take you off the beaten path while still hitting the must sees.
